I am interested in religion. More specifically, I am fascinated by the idea that the ordinary can be made unique. That simply by being chosen, an object can become powerful and transformative.

With this in mind, I have created a personal iconography – one rooted in a reverence for that which is unexceptional, a tension between the Unique (the sacred) and the Multiple (the profane), and the indistinct boundary between the signifier and the signified.
